Can We Qualify to Enter a Perfect Place?

How Can We Qualify
To Enter a Perfect Place?

Imagine a far-away place that's perfect. There is no disease, no crime, and no injustice. We want to go there. But would we be allowed in?  We'd surely be screened out because we carry all kinds of bacteria, virus, and fungus that might contaminate the perfect place.
There would be another problem. To be sure we didn't pollute the moral climate of the perfect place, the perfect place's immigration department would probably demand that we had never committed any crime or injustice.
On the whole, we judge ourselves to be good people, with much more good than evil in us. But if the perfect place is to stay perfect, it can't take any chances.
Our applications would be rejected. Sorry, no chance. The only way we could qualify as non-polluting would be for us to be born again, with the same personalities and the same memories and attachments of love that we now have.
Just like the perfect place would require a miracle, so would the special, new birth.
You guessed it. God can do it for you. He planned it all long before you were born.
God has a perfect place for us. He calls it Heaven. But we're not fit to go there, physically or morally. We can't take anything there that deteriorates or rots. That eliminates the possibility of taking all this bacteria, virus, and fungus. It also eliminates taking this imperfect moral record as well. Our dilemma was one that only God could solve. And He did!
First He made a rule that if a perfect substitute took the punishment for all our wrong-doing, then our record could be clean. But where would we find a perfect substitute?  Only one being had all the qualifications of morality and strength, and that was God.
Jesus Himself said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NIV)
So Christ makes us fit for entry into the perfect place, Heaven.
God didn't really blame us for the bacteria, virus and fungus, but it had to be taken care of. He had a plan for that also. When it comes time for Christ's people to go to the perfect place, their bodies will all be changed, in a moment, as quick as a twinkle in your eye. Their bodies will no longer be subject to rot, will be non-contaminating, and eligible for entry into the perfect place. We don't know how God does it, but that's His department. He will do it.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, trusting Him as your Lord and Savior, and committed to Him, you are a Christian, and you will want to associate with other Christians. That's what churches are for. Your local church is not a perfect place but can give you the directions.
